Greek, Roman and medieval armor

Armor is nothing more that protective clothing designed to defend the wearer in combat. It has evolved from skins, bone and leather to bronze and then steel. Before the middle ages armor was to costly for the normal soldier and was worn by only the elite. With the advancement of plate armor and chainmail, the cost was greatly reduced and armor became more available.
